It’s great to see in these times of high unemployment and redundancies, somebody getting off their ass in Ireland and trying to do something about it. Let me introduce you to www.HalfALoaf.ie .

Halfaloaf.ie aims to provide a forum where those who are unemployed can discuss issues and offer advice to those who are new to the unemployment line. As many of the unemployed struggle to fill the working week, halfaloaf.ie offers these the chance to discuss current issues, seek things to do, obtain information on new business ideas, and barter their services.

There are several areas to visit in the site, including:

- General Forum

- Get out of the house!

- Business Network Ideas Forum (BIN)

- Sell or Swap Shop (SOS)

- Barter for Ireland

Unemployment effects everybody in Ireland with the current rate hovering around 15% and tipped to reach closer to 20% by next year. I personally have family and friends currently unemployed and the prospects out there at the moment are bleak. I encourage anybody in this position to make use of this new service available, head over to www.halfaloaf.ie now!
