It’s great to see in these times of high unemployment and redundancies, somebody getting off their ass in Ireland and trying to do something about it. Let me introduce you to www.HalfALoaf.ie .
Halfaloaf.ie aims to provide a forum where those who are unemployed can discuss issues and offer advice to those who are new to the unemployment line. As many of the unemployed struggle to fill the working week, halfaloaf.ie offers these the chance to discuss current issues, seek things to do, obtain information on new business ideas, and barter their services.
There are several areas to visit in the site, including:
- General Forum
- Get out of the house!
- Business Network Ideas Forum (BIN)
- Sell or Swap Shop (SOS)
- Barter for Ireland
Unemployment effects everybody in Ireland with the current rate hovering around 15% and tipped to reach closer to 20% by next year. I personally have family and friends currently unemployed and the prospects out there at the moment are bleak. I encourage anybody in this position to make use of this new service available, head over to www.halfaloaf.ie now!
This weeks Promo Tuesday is for HMP Finance in Sandyford Dublin. HMP was established in 2006 and comprises 4 motivated individuals with a wealth of experience in the property, mortgage and insurance sectors.
HMP offer financial advice and financial planning services. They deal with all the major financial services providers within the Irish market, so they can ensure that they are delivering the best policy to suit your specific needs.
So What Did They Send Me?
They sent me a branded promotional pen and branded pocket calculator.
This weeks Promo Tuesday was sent to me by a link in an email. It’s for a local talent named Eoin Ryan. Eoin is an artist, illustrator, film maker and animator. He has created some award winning films such as Demon and his latest film Uncle Bill’s Barrell. Eoin also happens to come from my hometown of Skerries and recently he has started an online comic strip at SpaceAvalanche.com.
SpaceAvalanche is updated every Monday with a new strip. Eoins humour can be quite dark but if you like that sort of thing (which I do!) you should head over to SpaceAvalanche.com now!
Below find this weeks comic strip called Marine Biology:
This week for Promo Tuesday I want to introduce you to a company called PrintIt.ie . During the week I was sent a promotional pack from Ronan Keegan, Sales Manager at PrintIt.ie . As promotional packs go, this one jumped of the table at me. It had a sample of every product they produce (which is quite a lot!).
So what did they send me? They sent me a mouse mat ( great quality, sturdy and thick, not like those flimsy ones you normally get for promotional products), Plastic Rulers, Plastic Folders, tax disc wallet, business cards, bunting and calendars. A shot of the sample products is below.
So remember next time you need to get Plastic Products or promotional products head over to www.PrintIt.ie or call Ronan on 01-4649811 . I can tell you first hand the superior quality in their products.
If you like this post and have a product you’d like to promote, please just send me something. My contact details are on the Promo Tuesday page.
